Naim is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2023 and with that has come a long list of new product introductions. We are incredibly excited to listen to the new NAIT 50 integrated amplifier that will go on sale in July; there will only be 1,973 units made to celebrate the launch of the iconic British brand in 1973. The NAIT 50 will retail for $3,599 and we’re starting to notice a trend in regard to the pricing of the new components; they are decidedly more expensive than in previous years.
In fairness to Naim, the past 3 years have been fraught with all kinds of supply chain, transportation, and pandemic issues and very few brands have been able to return back to pre-COVID pricing.
Naim has also spent a fortune on R&D during this rather uncertain time with inflation eating away at our disposable income and there is no question that the quality of the products have taken a rather substantial leap forward in connectivity and performance.
The Uniti Atom is still the network amplifier to beat even with its higher price in 2023.
Focal and Naim have also continued to expand their retail presence with additional Focal Powered By Naim locations in multiple countries including Canada, Germany, and the United States.
Naim expanded its Classic series earlier this year and the New Classic 300 series components are designed to serve as the mid-tier electronics in their rather extensive and growing lineup of products.
