Anaheim-based Triangle Art dazzled attendees at the 2023 T.H.E. Show at the Hilton Orange County in Costa Mesa, CA with an extensive range of turntables, tube amplifiers, and horn loudspeakers.
Triangle Art is best known for its unique and somewhat ostentatious looking turntables; the reality is that they deliver excellent sonic performance and that’s what matters.
Metis Horn Speaker
For the 2023 T.H.E Show, Triangle Art brought its flagship product, the Metis Horn Speaker. This speaker features a solid walnut horn mounted above the bass cabinet. The horn is driven by a Beyma 6.5-inch wide bandwidth cone driver and covers the frequency range from 200Hz to 1.6kHz.
The treble range from 1.6 kHz to well above the limit of human hearing at 60kHz is covered by a RAAL “true” ribbon tweeter.
The fourth order type (24 db/Oct) crossover is constructed with Mundorf components and is configured for safe operation of the drivers with high-powered amplifiers.
Specifications
- Speaker Type: Full-range passive 3-way Horn-loaded loudspeaker

M-100 Monoblock Tube Amplifier
The M-100 Tube Amplifier is a mono-block amplifier that supports an optimal listening experience. The M-100 utilizes 2 KT120 output tubes and 2 6SN7 driver tubes (per channel). The class A amplifier can output almost 120 watts/channel in push-pull mode; which must get extremely hot looking at the design.
The M-100’s chassis is constructed with 1″ thick aluminum panels. Each piece is CNC machined, hand polished, and then anodized in black with a 24 karat gold finish on the decorative badge.
The M100 Monoblock Power Amplifier is priced at $25,000
L-200 MK2 Dual Mono Tube Preamplifier
The L-200 MK2 preamplifier is an improved version of the successful Triangle L-200 MK1. Major elements of the Mark I were retained including the heavy-duty chassis design, use of an external power supply, and selection of the finest electronic components and wiring. For the MK2, A new circuit configuration has been implemented. Triangle considers the new printed circuit board, a work of art, and has a symmetrical signal flow layout.
Features:
- The L-200 MK2 offers a total of 5 line level inputs. Inputs 1 through 3 are available as RCA connections and inputs 4 and 5 are on female XLR connectors.
- The output signal is available on 2 RCA jacks and one male XLR connector for each channel.
- The input selector and passive 64-step switched attenuator are both Elma units wired to connectors and the circuit board using military-grade shielded cable.
- The power transformer of the L-200 MK2 is housed in a separate chassis and connects to the main unit via an umbilical cord and multi-pin connectors on both chassis.
The L200 MK2 Dual Mono Preamplifier is priced at $25,000
P-200 TUBE PHONO Stage
The P-200 is a full-function stand-alone vacuum tube phono preamplifier with an external power supply.
Features:
- 3 phono cartridge inputs, one standard moving magnet (MM) or standard level input, and two moving coil (MC) or low-level inputs. The inputs are selected via front panel switches which select either the MM input or, if set to MC, one of the two MC inputs.
- MC input one and two differ only in the connector format, MC being a standard RCA input while MC 2 is available on a female XLR connector when this type of interconnect is preferred
- There are two separate connector types, RCA and XLR.
- The power transformer of the P-200 is housed in a separate chassis and connects to the main unit via an umbilical cord and multi-pin connectors on both chassis.
The P200 Tube Phono Stage is priced at $18,000
Turntables
Triangle brought three turntables to the show (yep, it looks like vinyl is indeed here to stay):
Ultimate SE
Brand new to Triangle’s line-up, this turntable isn’t on Triangle Art’s webpage yet, but from the looks of it, appears to deserve the “Ultimate” branding based on its appearance and massive footprint. Also, this beast weighs 400 lbs and incorporates a 3-inch sub platter and a 5-inch thick main platter. The modular design makes it easier to assemble and move when required.
Does a turntable need to weigh 400 pounds?
Considering the asking price, the table should come with a record collection as well.
The Ultimate SE Turntable is priced at $130,000 (coming soon).
Anubis
The Anubis turntable uses the same key technology as the Triangle Reference SE model, including the motor, platter, and bearing technology.
However, the Anubis is lighter than the 275-pound Reference SE but still weighs 160 pounds. Very similar to the Reference SE, the Anubis comes with a hefty solid composite metal 48-millimeter thick platter to control and dampen all vibrations for better resonance (more below).
Non-inverted steel ball bearings support the platter while providing intensely quiet and “smooth as liquid performance.” The jet-black background is designed to reproduce soft, inner details with subtle micro and macro dynamics, presenting a tight and articulate bass while projecting a holographic image and a light, airy sound stage.
The Anubis Turntable is priced at $18,000
Maestro
The Triangle ART Maestro Turntable delivers a lot of the performance of the bigger tables with a smaller plinth and footprint; there is still a huge emphasis on mass based on the construction of the platter and plinth.
It comes with a hefty solid composite metal 1-inch thick plinth and 2-inch thick solid composite metal platter to control all vibrations and provide superior resonance.
The Maestro Turntable is priced at $9,000

WTF?! “GAAK!”
This is the reason frAudiophiles put much of their junque (please note the classy Europeeein’ spelling!) on the floor. None of them are strong enough to pick it up. At least they came with Certified Natural-Death®™©, Rain-Forest Grade®™© pallets that are documented lovingly harvested by indigenous and politically neutral pygmies.
One does hope that the GreenEarf®™© electric pallet-jack was left behind after the installation just in case one has to rearrange things to prevent incestuous resonances from interfering with bass management and proper geo-synchornizifaction of cabling. ‘n’ Sheeeeit.
Like Bowie and Lennon said, “Is it any wonder you are too cool to fool”?
“The Emperor’s New Clothes”? Indeed. Either that or ’tis audio’s take on “A Modest Proposal”. Oh how I could go on but…
‘O That This Too Solid Flesh Would Melt’.
