Yannis,

Cambridge Audio and Audiolab would be better alternatives.

I was afraid so. Thanks for the direct response.

Yannis,

Welcome. Too underpowered. Unless the room is on the smaller side. I really think this loudspeaker needs a lot more power than people think.

Best,

I guess I am a little late on this, but do you consider Rega Brio a good match for the lintons?

They measure better with grilles on because they are tuned with grilles on.

Hopefully. Mission has not yet responded about our request.

I am really curious to hear how these two compare as the Mission’s are on my short list these days for a second system.

Dave,

It certainly has enough power (50 watts?) to drive the Linton but does it have that same amount of power into 4 ohms? They are rated at 6 ohms but drop down to slightly below 4 ohms. The 90dB sensitivity rating is a tad high. 87-88 dB is more accurate.

I’ve driven the Linton with the Audiolab 6000A, NAD C316BEE V2, Croft Phono Integrated, and Rotel A14MKII which are all in the 40-50 watt range into 8 ohms.

I think it would work but you might run out of gas. The tonal balance is fine.

Best,

Ian White

That is all.
