Edifier’s QD35 Light-up Hi-Res Audio Bluetooth Speaker Has Some Odd Features You Probably Won’t Use

At $199, the Edifier QD35 Tabletop Bluetooth Speaker combines pulsating lighting effects with powerful audio technology.

Edifier QD35 Tabletop Bluetooth Speaker

Summer already? It’s still snowing on both coasts at the moment so it might be a tad early to get the portable Bluetooth loudspeakers charged for the deck. We are all for some visual fun when listening outdoors and it would appear that Edifier has something to light up those summer nights with the new QD35 tabletop Bluetooth Loudspeaker which combines visual lighting effects, hi-res audio playback, and a clock.

College students might actually find this to be somewhat useful for their dorm room. Don’t want to be late for class. Your parents are only selling off organs to pay for your education — so the least you can do is show up on time.

The QD35 is designed to handle 24-bit/96kHz playback and offers support for LDAC as well if your source supports it. Edifier have also included USB-A and 3.5mm inputs for a single analog source and so that you can remember to charge your smartphone.

Edifier QD35 Tabletop Bluetooth Speaker Rear Inputs

With a total of 40-watt RMS amplification built-in, Edifier claims that the QD35 can easily fill a room with sound. Its TI Closed Loop digital amplifier powers a 3-inch mid-bass driver and 1-inch silk dome tweeter. With the enhancement of MazeTube Bass Reflex Channels and TurbMuff Air Noise Suppression Technology, port noises and resonance are said to be reduced to their lowest level.

Confused? We’re pretty sure that’s some marketing intern trying to be cute with the concept of offering two rear bass ports that tighten up the low end response so this loudspeaker doesn’t overemphasize everything below 60Hz.

Powered by TurboGaN’s high-efficiency charging technology, the QD35 can double as a charger for your devices. It offers full-time fast charging, full time temperature control technology and smart power assignment technology to ensure charging is quick and safe.

Edifier QD35 Tabletop Bluetooth Speaker Acoustic Architecture

The Edifier Connect app allows users to synchronize the clock automatically or manually, customize their own EQs and share their EQs with friends.

We’re not sure why you would want to share your EQ settings with anyone but it’s a feature. Strange one.

The QD35 is a perfect example of how Edifier have created an aesthetically pleasing speaker incorporating a brilliant, kaleidoscopic display of colored lights. Various preset light effects are available but users can also customize their own light effects using the Edifier Connect app.
