Oh, I apologize. I misread your reply. You were saying the DENON doesn’t sound like much of a deal. My bad.

“It doesn’t feel like a bargain at the price when you take everything into consideration. I would be more inclined to order a Cinema 70 or one of the two you mentioned.”

I’m referring to the Marantz. It’s clearly NOT a better deal.

How do the Pioneer and Integra offering more power and features than the Denon for $500 less not strike you as a better deal? And the Cinema 70 wasn’t part of the comparison.

and also, any information on processor. I know the AV1 published a dual core 1ghz. Is it same?

Denon are not that willing to share certain aspects of their designs but I do know that Burr Brown DACs have been used in a lot of their AVRs over the past decade.

We will dig some more to find that information.

Both are 150W x 11.4, feature balanced I/O, come with Dirac Live, Works With Sonos, have three HDMI 2.1 outs, feature assignable passive subwoofer speaker amplifiers, and are Roon Ready.

My current 9.2 setup is in a 10 X 10 room. I now have twin 8 inch subs instead of the 12s and then the 10s I previously tried out. My wife was upset over my watching “Predator” (pre-neutered arnie) so loud it was, her words “…like being in the theater!”.

Ed-freakin’-zactly!

Denon/Marantz are easily my favorite brand(s) for Home Theatre(!) as well as multi-room music

Thank you for this look at the new 6800!

Siskel & ORTbert…minus…Well. You get it. 😉
