Celebrating its centennial, beyerdynamic is introducing an improved version of their classic DT 770 PRO closed-back studio headphones called the DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition. Priced at only $199, the new model brings improvements from PRO & PRO X lines, including the dynamic STELLAR.45 driver from the DT 700 PRO X and the reference-setting features of the DT 770 PRO. However, the biggest difference is that the new DT 770 PRO X has a detachable cable, which is a feature that’s long been requested.
DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition
The DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition features the convenience of a detachable Mini-XLR cable so you can move freely while you create. A recess in the headband padding also protects against the pressure-sensitive fontanelle, allowing you to wear the headphones for hours on end. With premium sound quality, replaceable parts, low impedance and high-wearing comfort, the DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition is tailor-made for studio professionals, artists, filmmakers, producers and more.
“We wanted to commemorate our 100-year milestone by creating headphones that pay homage to our past, and empower studio professionals of the future to work however and wherever their inspiration strikes,” said beyerdynamic CEO Andreas Rapp. “By combining the beloved features of the DT 770 PRO with the latest driver technology of the DT 700 PRO X, whether you’re in a bustling studio or recording at home, the DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition delivers an unparalleled performance.”
100 Years of Audio History
Since 1924, beyerdynamic has maintained its reputation as a trusted audio brand, primarily due to its pristine sound quality and creation of the first dynamic headphone – the DT 48. In 1985, the introduction of the DT 770 PRO and DT 990 PRO studio headphones set new standards for professional musicians, producers and recording studios globally. Then, in 2021, the company unveiled the PRO X series, which offered modern creators the best sound for recording and streaming.
As beyerdynamic reaches its 100th anniversary, it was important for the design of the DT 770 PRO X Limited Edition headphones to pay tribute to this accomplishment. On the side of the headband, a limited-edition anniversary emblem is hot stamped in silver and features the beyerdynamic logo.
